The concept of this residence's design was to keep the importance of the mesmerizing view first and foremost. Everything should complement the spectacular vistas. The client is a wine connoisseur and audiophile,
so we installed a state-of-the-art sound system and custom wine cooler.
I developed a palette incorporating the color and tone of the gorgeous wood floors from Legno Bastone. To counteract the flooring, I introduced heavily textured materials, including a dimensional custom carpet, textured linen chairs, and vibrant blue pillows
to complement the blue hues of the Gulf of Mexico.
The largest area of texture is the wall panels surrounding the 82" flat screen television, made from a resin, named Titan. To counterpoint the wall panels, we have included custom cabinetry, enhanced with doors made of shining iridescent mother of pearl with a beautiful wood top.
The flat white walls of the residence called for dimension. I added a trompe-l'oeil wallpaper
in the dining room for a dramatic illusion effect.
My favorite part of the master bedroom is the wood-silvered wallpaper from France, made by Elitris. It is finished in a gray and silver palette, serving as a backdrop for the sleek king-size bed
On an adjacent wall we have installed the unique modular hexagon
Bang & Olufsen speaker sculpture
